Many positions (30 hours/week or more) are eligible for additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability insurances and other offerings.Lots of training and development opportunities to move your career forwardFriendly and supportive team environmentWork with state-of-the-art technology and equipmentThe Masonry Crew Member and Leader will assist to:• Builds retaining walls, pools, walkways, patios, and other structures using bricks, stone, an/or concrete blocks,• Cuts or saws bricks for projects as necessary• Ability to mix mortar and grout to be used to lay brick and places brick or concrete blocks on mortar bed• Measures and examine brickwork to ensure structure is built correctly• Consults with the project manager/foreman or client to determine the shape, consistency, finish, and other specifications of the project and plans accordingly• Plans project and drying time to ensure that concrete will dry and cure correctly; monitors weather and wind throughout the process to ensure proper curing• Builds and uses forms to shape concrete to specified levels and consistencies• Uses a variety of tools, such as straight-edges, floats, rakes, shovels, trowels, and brooms, to spread, level, smooth, and finish concrete and surface• Waterproofs or restores surface by applying hardening and sealing compounds• Levels and evens surface as needed by chipping, scraping, and grinding uneven spots or ridges using power or hand tools• Repairs and reinforces existing concrete surfaces, which may include removing ridges and cavities, resurfacing, or cleaning• Cleans surface, tools, and surrounding area thoroughly• Performs other related duties as assignedCompetencies• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of bricklaying techniques and procedures• Ability to read and interpret blueprints• Possesses a thorough understanding of math and geometry• Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills• Possesses a thorough understanding of the characteristics of concrete and ability to make plans based on that knowledge.• Ability to create, lay, and use concrete forms• Demonstrates a deep understanding of and ability to use tools related to masonry.• Ability to work well with others• Ability to create a variety of surfaces for various purposes• Ability to reliably commute to and from the office on a daily basis• Possesses a valid/active driver's licenseEducation and Experience• High school diploma or equivalent required• Technical/vocational school program preferred• Three years of related experience requiredPhysical Requirements• Prolonged periods standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time• Physically able to perform labor required to lay bricks and concrete blocks• Must be able to work in extremely noisy areas• Excellent hand-eye coordination• Must be able to work in all types of weatherThe Perks401(k) plan with company matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceFSA/HSAPerkSpotLong-Term Disability and Life InsurancePaid time OffTuition Reimbursement (after one year of service)Pay TransparencyMariani Enterprises LLC is committed to pay transparency and equity among all employees and provides employees with an environment where pay transparency and dialogue on compensation are allowed.
